Mothers, Fathers and the public of Tirupaarkuttai village near Tiruvalam on Monday shelled up the local government-supported middle school by protesting against the management of the school, asking the government take over the school instantly.

Children came out of their classes for some time which made a flutter in the area.

The officials, head by the Katpadi tahsildhar Kanniyappan and police from Tiruvalam, pacified the agitators. Classes were turned in the afternoon.

As per Saravanan, vice-president of the village panchayat, the school was without a headmaster for over 9 years despite repeated pleas in this regard by the villagers.
